Edge Migration

edge migration

324 → 32

324 → 32 convergence

A 3×3×3 grid of wireframe cubes has 324 edges. A tesseract has 32. Watch every edge find its new address — 132 migrate (9:1 convergence), 188 collapse to points, and 4 stretch into a bounding box that frames the transformation.

32 → 324 expansion

Run it in reverse and 32 tesseract edges differentiate into 324. Each mapped edge spawns up to 9 cube edges. 188 orphans materialize from vertices. But 12 tesseract edges have no cube counterpart at all — they exist only in the fourth dimension.

The gap: 12 of 32 tesseract edges map to zero cube edges. The fourth dimension has structure that three dimensions cannot express.
